EMMA MILLER is a New York-based director, producer, and educator. She is Co-Artistic Director of The Hearth, with which she most recently directed Athena (NYTimes Critics’ Pick, JACK). Emma’s work has been seen at JACK, Queens Theater, The Medicine Show, The Tank, Dixon Place, Lucid Body House, Cincinnati Fringe, South Oxford Space, Theaterlab, Playwrights Downtown, and Kenyon College. She has assisted at Dobama Theater, Kenyon College, Notre Dame College, and at the Kenyon Playwrights Conference. At Kenyon College, Emma was co-founder of StageFemmes, a company that produced contemporary works by women. Emma has worked in the Artistic Department at Playwrights Horizons, where she completed the Fellowship Program. She is the Theater Arts Director at B’nai Jeshurun and has taught at SPACE on Ryder Farm and at The O’Neill. Her writing has been published by HelloFlo, The FBomb, Women’s Media Center, Your Teen Magazine, and Broadwayworld.com. Emma is alumna of Kenyon College and the National Theater Institute - Advanced Directing at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center.
