Emma Miller is a director, educator & producer. She is Founding Artistic Director of The Hearth, with which she has directed brainsmash, The Commons, Athena, and For Annie. Emma has directed at and with Ensemble Studio Theatre, Clubbed Thumb, Less Than Rent, 59e59, JACK, Theaterlab, Queens Theater, and the KNOW Theater, among others. Emma was a Clubbed Thumb Directing Fellow and a Playwrights Horizons Artistic Fellow. She has worked at Dobama Theater and the Kenyon Playwrights Conference, and is on faculty teaching student directors at The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center’s National Theater Institute. Emma believes deeply in the intersection between arts & education, and teaches performing arts to students of all ages in New York City and Cleveland, Ohio.
